Spoils of War

For centuries men have been fighting battles over land money and sometimes even women. Being on the winning side could mean more than just being alive for women. From being used as sex slaves in the ancient wars to being treated as sexual comforters in World War II, this gender has seen it all. Women have always paid the price for the ambitions and greed of men. The battles weren't always fought with swords. Women have been pushed to the backfoot in the battles of intellect and academia. Madam Curie went through a fair share of ordeal before she could become the first woman noble prize winner. Apart from being denied education in her motherland, she has to also depend on her husband to present her work in public. Women weren't deemed fit to deliver speeches back then.  It's a man's world, they say, the society is largely designed to a man's advantage. The battles have changed, but women have continued to fight for dignity and freedom in modern times.
